APAF, Macquarie University

The Australian Proteome Analysis Facility continues to provide customer-focussed high throughput, high quality proteomics and protein biochemistry services. This is achieved through deployment of constantly renewed infrastructure across mass spectrometry, high pressure liquid chromatography (HPLC), protein sequencing, amino acid analysis, protein separation, proteomic quantitation, membrane proteomics and biomarker discovery. APAF will ensure Australian researchers in the life sciences, medical, agri-food and biotech sectors have access to world leading technology and expertise, thereby retaining the opportunity for global competitiveness in many fields.

The high end infrastructure slated for investment will be supported with scientific and technical expertise across all aspects of the proteomics platform. Senior scientists and technologists with a range of experience from biological application in the fields of cancer research, stem cell biology, diagnostics development, agricultural research and analytical chemistry will facilitate access of customers to the infrastructure.
