BMSF, University of New South Wales

The Bioanalytical Mass Spectrometry Facility (BMSF) is part of the UNSW Analytical Centre and its laboratories provide access to advanced mass spectrometry instrumentation, expertise and training for UNSW, national and international research groups. BMSF staff are recognised experts in the application of mass spectrometry to proteomics and metabolomics and many of the growing analytical applications that are involved in these disciplines. BMSF staff also carry out research in mass spectrometry methods and technologies.

BMSF receives NCRIS co-investment funding from the NSW Government in recognition of its role in providing access to advanced mass spectrometry for those sectors it serves. Following this NSW co-investment the BPA Board invited the BMSF to join Proteomics Australia under NCRIS in partnership with Bioplatforms Australia (BPA).
