Industry Access Vouchers
Bioplatforms Australia has launched a new voucher program that offers up to $10,000 for research services that utilise the state-of-the-art ‘omics and bioinformatics research capabilities offered within its network.
The vouchers seek to increase the impact of bioscience capabilities on Australian product development and can be applied at any point along the product continuum from scientific discovery to production processes and QC. Grants must be matched on a dollar for dollar basis by the applicant and can only be used to fund research services offered by Bioplatforms Australia partners. Applications for multi-partner projects are welcomed and can extend to government entities when at least one collaborator is part of Bioplatforms Australia’s network.
The voucher aims to promote greater industry access to Australian bioscience capabilities by seeding new collaborative projects and will be limited to a one-time allocation of support for both the applicant and project.
Applications need to be developed collaboratively with a network partner and provide information on the project proposal and anticipated research, commercial, organisational and/or community benefits. The assessment processes will consider the technical feasibility of projects and how well the proposed outcomes align with the strategic goals of the program.
The Industry Access program is a new initiative and limited to $250,000 while Bioplatforms Australia evaluates the level of interest in the voucher and the ability of the program to seed collaborations offering national benefit.
